2. Information we collect / 我们收集的信息

We collect information you provide directly when using CollegeX, including:

• Account information, such as name, email address, and phone number
• Student profile data, such as GPA, test scores, coursework, activities, awards, and goals
• Target-school preferences, admissions-planning information, and materials submitted for a purchased service
• Payment and transaction information supplied by our payment provider; we do not store full payment-card details

我们收集您使用 CollegeX 时直接提供的信息，包括账户信息、学生背景资料、目标学校与升学规划信息、为付费服务提交的材料，以及支付服务商提供的交易信息；我们不保存完整银行卡信息。

3. How we use information / 我们如何使用信息

We use personal information only as needed to:

• Operate the Service and generate requested admissions estimates, recommendations, and purchased deliverables
• Maintain accounts, communicate about the Service, and provide customer support
• Process payments, prevent fraud, protect the security of the Service, and comply with legal obligations

我们仅在提供服务、维护账户、沟通与客服、处理付款、防范欺诈、保障安全及履行法定义务所必需的范围内使用个人信息。

We do not use identifiable student materials to train AI models or improve our products. 我们不会将可识别学生材料用于训练 AI 模型或改进产品。

We do not sell personal information. We may share information with service providers that help us operate the Service, such as cloud-hosting, AI-inference, authentication, communications, and payment-processing providers, only as necessary to provide the Service or meet legal obligations. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security.

We retain information for as long as needed to provide the Service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. Where you consent, we use Google Analytics 4 for anonymous product and traffic measurement. We do not send names, contact details, grades, target schools, application materials, or full admissions results to Google Analytics. You can refuse analytics when the notice appears or clear that choice in your browser settings. If a student is under the age of majority where they live, a parent or legal guardian must provide any required consent before the student submits personal information. If you believe a child's information was submitted without required consent, contact us so we can review the request.

我们使用身份验证和会话管理所必需的 Cookie。在您同意后，我们会使用 Google Analytics 4 进行匿名访问与产品使用统计；不会向其发送姓名、联系方式、成绩、目标学校、申请材料或完整测算结果。您可在提示出现时拒绝分析统计，或通过浏览器设置清除该选择。若学生未达到所在地法定成年年龄，父母或法定监护人须在其提交个人信息前提供必要同意。如您认为儿童信息未经必要同意即被提交，请联系我们处理。

We may update this Privacy Notice from time to time. We will post the updated version and revise the date above. For material changes, we will provide additional notice through the Service or by email where appropriate.
