Terms of Service

1. Acceptance and language / 接受条款与语言

By accessing or using CollegeX, creating an account, or purchasing a service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Notice. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These Terms are provided in English and Chinese for convenience. In the event of a conflict, the English version prevails to the extent permitted by applicable law.

您访问或使用 CollegeX、创建账户或购买服务，即表示同意本条款及隐私政策；若不同意，请勿使用本服务。本条款提供中英文版本以便理解；如两种版本存在冲突，在适用法律允许的范围内以英文版本为准。

2. Our services / 我们提供的服务

CollegeX provides free admissions-information tools and separately offered, one-time paid admissions planning services, including human-reviewed services such as the Dream School Application Strategy Kit. Paid services are not subscriptions and do not renew automatically. The price, currency, deliverables, and any delivery timeline are those shown at checkout, on the relevant service page, or in our written confirmation.

CollegeX 提供免费的升学信息工具，以及另行提供的按次付费升学规划服务，包括梦校申请锦囊等需要人工审核的服务。付费服务并非订阅服务，也不会自动续费。价格、币种、交付内容及任何交付时间以结账页面、相应服务页面或我们的书面确认内容为准。

Admissions estimates, data, recommendations, and reports are informational planning tools only. They do not guarantee admission, scholarships, financial aid, visas, or any other outcome, and do not replace advice from a licensed legal, educational, financial, or immigration professional.

录取概率、数据、建议和报告仅用于信息与规划参考，不保证录取、奖学金、助学金、签证或任何其他结果，也不替代持牌法律、教育、财务或移民专业人士的意见。

3. Eligibility, accounts, and your responsibilities / 资格、账户与您的责任

You must provide accurate, complete, and current information, keep your account credentials secure, and be responsible for activity under your account. You may use the Service only for lawful personal or family admissions planning. If you are under the age of majority where you live, your parent or legal guardian must review and accept these Terms and provide any required consent for information you submit.

您须提供真实、完整且最新的信息，妥善保管账户凭据，并对账户下发生的活动负责。您仅可将本服务用于合法的个人或家庭升学规划。若您未达到所在地法定成年年龄，您的父母或法定监护人须审阅并接受本条款，并对您提交的信息提供必要同意。

You must not impersonate another person, submit false or unlawfully obtained materials, interfere with the Service, scrape or copy it at scale, bypass access controls, or resell, distribute, or commercially exploit the Service or its output without our written permission.

您不得冒用他人身份、提交虚假或非法取得的材料、干扰服务、批量抓取或复制内容、绕过访问控制，或未经书面许可转售、传播或商业化利用本服务或其输出。

4. Orders, payments, and refunds / 订单、付款与退款

We may process payments through Stripe or another payment method shown on the order page. You authorize the applicable payment provider to charge the displayed amount for your selected one-time service. Payment information is processed by the payment provider; we do not store full payment-card details.

我们可通过 Stripe 或订单页面展示的其他支付方式处理付款。您授权相应支付服务商就您选择的按次服务收取页面展示的金额。支付信息由支付服务商处理；我们不保存完整的银行卡信息。

You may request a full refund to the original payment method before we begin reviewing your materials, conducting analysis, or preparing the purchased deliverable. After that work begins, fees are non-refundable, except where required by applicable law or where we fail to provide the agreed service. Approved refunds are processed within 10 business days.

在我们开始审核您的材料、进行分析或准备所购交付物之前，您可以申请全额原路退款。上述工作开始后，除适用法律另有要求或我们未能按约提供服务外，费用不予退款。获批退款将在 10 个工作日内处理。

5. Your content and privacy / 您的材料与隐私

You retain ownership of the information and materials you submit (“User Content”). You grant us a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use User Content only as necessary to operate, protect, and provide the Service and the purchased deliverable. We do not use identifiable student materials to train AI models or improve our products. Our collection and handling of personal data are described in our Privacy Notice.

您保留所提交信息与材料（“用户材料”）的所有权。您仅授予我们为运营、保护及提供本服务和所购交付物所必需的、有限的、非独占且不可转让的使用许可。我们不会将可识别学生材料用于训练 AI 模型或改进产品。个人数据的收集与处理以隐私政策为准。

6. Intellectual property / 知识产权

CollegeX and its software, models, data compilations, branding, and Service content are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, revocable, non-transferable right to access the Service and use deliverables for your personal or family admissions planning.

CollegeX 及其软件、模型、数据汇编、品牌与服务内容归我们或许可方所有，并受适用知识产权法律保护。在遵守本条款的前提下，我们授予您有限、可撤销且不可转让的权利，以访问本服务并将交付物用于您个人或家庭的升学规划。

7. Disclaimers and liability / 免责声明与责任限制

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, complete, or suitable for a particular purpose. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, opportunities, or goodwill.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from or relating to a claim is limited to the amount you actually paid for the specific order giving rise to that claim. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including any mandatory consumer rights.

在法律允许的最大范围内，本服务按“现状”及“可用状态”提供。我们不保证服务不中断、无错误、完整或适合特定目的；不对间接、附带、特殊、后果性、惩罚性损失，或利润、数据、机会及商誉损失负责。对于与某项主张有关的责任，我们的总责任以引发该主张的该笔订单实际支付金额为上限。本条款不排除或限制依法不得排除或限制的责任，包括任何强制性消费者权利。

8. Suspension and termination / 暂停与终止

We may suspend or terminate access to the Service where reasonably necessary to protect users, the Service, or our legal rights, including for a breach of these Terms, fraud, or unlawful use. You may stop using the Service at any time. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

如为保护用户、服务或我们的合法权益而有合理必要（包括您违反本条款、欺诈或违法使用），我们可暂停或终止您对服务的访问。您可随时停止使用服务。依其性质应在终止后继续有效的条款仍然有效。

9. Changes, governing law, and disputes / 更新、适用法律与争议

We may update these Terms by posting the revised version and updating the date above. Material changes will be communicated through the Service or by email where appropriate. These Terms are governed by the laws of Hong Kong. The courts of Hong Kong have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

我们可通过发布修订版本并更新上方日期来修改本条款；重大修改将在适当情况下通过服务或电子邮件通知。本条款适用香港法律。因本条款或服务引起或与之相关的争议，由香港法院专属管辖，但适用法律另有强制要求的除外。

Questions, refund requests, or notices should be sent to [email protected]. If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
